With the goal of providing the highest level of security possible, NextLevel has in place a comprehensive strategy for protecting the physical and electronic infrastructure of the network. In fact, the network was built to meet or exceed International Telecommunications Standards worldwide for availability, integrity, and confidentiality. The security features are designed to deter, detect, and deny access to unauthorized parties. Continuous network monitoring by Network Operations Centers (NOCs) allows NextLevel to maintain uninterrupted service through immediate detection and remediation. In addition, entrance to the facilities requires passing a minimum of four layers of security.
To achieve a secure network, NextLevel has access to resistant routing with our IP backbone peers. We provide support for legally authorized governmental efforts to trace and identify sources of criminal acts.
For NextLevel, security is not a single issue. In each area of our business, we identify risks and threats, and provide the following countermeasures to protect facilities, equipment, and people:
Steel reinforced concrete wall exterior.
Biometric access controls, custom door locks, closed-circuit television monitoring, motion and moisture detection alarms.
Self-contained, industrial-strength power and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
Fire extinguishing system and alarms.
Continuous environmental and security monitoring.
Fail-over systems and continuous monitoring of network.
Monitoring and recovery.
Synchronous Optical NETwork (SONET) ring architecture on the core network. (In the event of a fiber cut, data in transmission is automatically re-routed to reach its destination via another path.)
All staff is background checked.
Adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
Continuous physical security monitoring.
Rapid response to alarms.
